It’s awards season again and we are very proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for Best Use of Search – Retail at the UK Search Awards for our work with Wiggle, the UK’s leading tri-sports retailer. Incidentally this campaign is also shortlisted for the Best Use of Search at the Wirehive 100 Awards. The winner of both of these accolades will be announced in November.
Working with Wiggle was a fascinating challenge for us; they’re a quality, industry-leading brand, yet when we initially convened, both parties recognised that there was a huge opportunity to increase the company’s visibility and online performance. Following a thorough process of competitor analysis, as well as a technical audit, we recommended a number of structural changes from an SEO and user-experience perspective.
These changes yielded huge increases in search share of voice, visibility and ranking keywords, leading to Wiggle attaining a strong but sustainable online visibility. Following the project, Wiggle’s Head of Search, Damian Koblintz, had this to say about the project:
“The level of knowledge demonstrated about our site by our auditor from just a two-month project was truly remarkable. Erudite spotted opportunities to improve information architecture which has continued to drive extremely impressive growth; in fact, it paid for itself within 3 days of implementation”
The UK Search Awards, ran in association with Bing Ads, celebrates the finest work in search and digital marketing from around the UK, whilst the Wirehive 100 Digital Agency Awards recognise the best in the UK digital scene from the southern counties outside of London.
We would like to thank both of these awards agencies for recognising the work that we carried out with Wiggle, as well as to voice our appreciation to all of the Wiggle team for working with us on such a smooth-running and successful project.
